Expert Reviewers Sought: The Cloud and the Climate

We are seeking reviewers with expertise in all aspects of cloud computing to provide independent review of our report, The Cloud and the Climate. This report aims to give a snapshot of the current state of the art of the environmental sustainability of cloud computing, with an emphasis on AWS/Azure/GCP. We are looking for experts to review it for clarity, accuracy, completeness, and up-to-dateness, and to recommend improvements.

Reviewers will receive an honorarium of £300. We anticipate a thorough review might take 3-4 hours in total, which can be completed at any time during July or August. Reviewers whose suggestions are included in the final report can be listed as co-authors if preferred.

Specific expertise in GreenOps, FinOps / MLOps, green computing, energy transition, tech policy, climate policy, and/or Responsible AI would be a bonus but are not essential. If you're interested, please send a CV and/or other relevant details to j.c.walton@sussex.ac.uk.
