Question regarding redirects.xlsx

Hi All, we are migrating news.adobe.com to milo. This is an aspx site. Currently the site is hosted on cloudfare. We'll be bringing it down and an instance with same domain name will be created on akamai. One of the requirement is to redirect the existing .aspx pages to .html page that will be created in sharepoint.

There are around 140 pages and we'll be keeping the same url for them (just .aspx will be replaced with .html)

I have tested this out and I am able to create a redirect from aspx page to html

Test Page where redirect has been added https://news.stage.adobe.com/drafts/ruchika/document.aspx

However for all our project we only give relative path in source column without any .html or .aspx and that's what I see in the documentation from franklin too.

Hence I wanted to check with the community here before using this approach to make sure if there is any concern and we see any issues with this

1. You should not move news.adobe.com to .html. .html is reserved only for sites that are already on .html. Implementing .html would be considered technical debt.
2. Akamai does all extension stripping and that should continue.
3. I would not use redirects.xlsx for .aspx stripping.
