I need to separately control the size of equation rendering in Jupyter Book between in-line and display mathematics. These are the css commands that have not worked! (I posted a much too-long version of this question which was probably too much to wade through, hence this much briefer retry.)
From _static/mystyle.css which is where I presume this should work...these have no effect on display math. So I'd appreciate learning the actual Mathjax css variables or whether they need to go into a different directory? Thanks.
