Is this component still usable, or would it require significant effort to make it function in a modern environment?

Should be functional still, we haven't updated either the spark jobs or the Flink jobs as they are both functional since the schema hasn't changed at all. Let us know if you find something!

I went with Spark since the Jaeger Helm chart does not support Flink. I also doubt that the Flink option supports Elasticsearch aliases or Elasticseach 8.x
