Why is a podcast out of date or not available in Podverse?

Podverse syncs its podcast directory with Podcast Index. In order to identify and resolve why a feed is missing or out of date in Podverse, the first step you can do is visit Podcast Index and search for the podcast there.

1. If the podcast is missing in Podcast Index, then you can add the podcast by visiting the Add Podcast page, then copy, paste, and submit the RSS feed URL for the podcast there. After about 20 minutes it should appear in Podcast Index, and within 24 hours, the podcast should automatically appear in Podverse. (We sync new podcasts from PI every 24 hours.)

2. If the podcast is present in both Podcast Index and Podverse, but it is out-of-date in Podcast Index, then please email info@podcastindex.org, and tell them the podcast is not updating, and provide them with a link to the podcast in Podcast Index. They will then increase the frequency that Podcast Index checks for new episodes for that podcast, and Podverse should automatically update along with PI.

3. If the podcast is present in both Podcast Index and Podverse, and it is up-to-date in Podcast Index, but out-of-date in Podverse, then please email contact@podverse.fm, and one of our maintainers will debug the issue.
