Who's the team behind poetry

Hi! I don't think it's worth an issue, but here's a question: who's the team behind poetry?

There's plenty of open-source and even free software which is made by dedicated for-profit organisations. Examples are plenty: gitlab, nginx, redis to name a few.

As far as I take there's no such existing entity behind poetry. Is there any plans to make such an entity, or is there any decision not to make such an entity in the near future? Such plans (or opposite - a decision to not create such an entity) might be a deciding factor for people to contribute.
