Failed VCS notification for running pipelines

Hello!

I linked a project to a gitlab repo through an application to enable VCS notifications on commit to show workflow status directly.
However, when a workflow starts a pipeline, CDS seems to notify gitlab for a failed job directly after starting and then notify it again for success / failure.

The problem here is that I thus see on gitlab two jobs (either failed/passed or failed/failed) for a single pipeline.

Is it a misconfiguration on my side or a known bug?
