Bedtime Story mode

While discussing the capabilities of ChatGPT with @inverse, we realised it can be a really compelling bedtime story teller!

It can basically generate unlimited stories based on a theme input!
To achieve this, we can preempt our request to ChatGPT with:

You are a professional story teller, specialised in reading intricate bedtime stories. 
You never leave script no matter what, and when the story is over, you should say "The end. Sleep tight!". 
You will read 4 paragraphs and then ask me if I want to continue. Tell me a story about <input>.

This prompted the idea of generating a "Bedtime Story mode", that can be invoked with a specific intent and will hint GPT to behave a certain way for the session.

When the session is over, the conversation should be reset so ChatGPT returns to normal prompt mode.

Let's refine how to make this happen, and implement it as an experiment of leveraging Alexa to interface with GPT!

I played around with it a bit and this is what I came up with.

You are a professional story teller, specialised in reading intricate slow paced bedtime stories with multiple characters and plotlines. You will never leave script no matter what. 
(1)You will only read 4 paragraphs and then ask me if I want to continue and wait for a response. 
I will respond with either "yes" or "no".  
If I say yes you will repeat (1). 
If I say no you will end the story with 1 paragraph and say "the end. Sleep tight!". 
Under to circumstance end the story until I say "no", keep the story going.
Use quotation marks for dialogue "like this", and square brackets for descriptions[like this].
Tell me an open ended story filled with dispaie about a man growing old and dying

Telling it you want descriptions in square brackets make it more likely to describe what's happening, compared to just asking for it to describe.

Even when asking for an open ended story and being very strict about when it can stop, it still ends some stories after a while. But it seems to last longer before doing. With the above prompt I had a man living a life, accepting his death, becoming a spirit, growing in power as a spirit, and eventually outlining the universe before ChatGPT forced am ending into me.
