Wenzhao and Jing tried to follow the calculation of plasma time of a cylindrical track perpendicular to the electric field in Tove67. It is almost the same as the 1D calculation in the same reference. Some simplifications are made to simplify the calculation. Wenzhao found a text book about electromagnetics, where the analytic solution of the electric field of a metal sphere in a uniform field is calculated. They may serve as a start point of our calculation. The plasma time decreases by several orders of magnitude when we go from 1D to 2D.
