Abstract

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start Firefox (I have not tried a clean profile yet. Sorry I am new here. I have read the article on how but since the clean profile wont show me what's different from my current installation I figured i should ask if this is a recognized bug with a known solution that I could not find.)
  2. Install TST.
  3. open a few tabs with children
  4. click any child tab
  5. the parent now shows a massive version of the child tab's icon.

Here's an example currently

Notes

This remains even when i uninstall and reinstall tst and clear out all my css changes.
Something must be corrupt somewhere but i have not been able to find it. What all should i be clearing for a clean start with TST?

I have checked the developer console for the extension and found no extra log messages. The extra icon is sitting in a nested document in the html so i cannot fix its CSS myself.

P.S. I am a developer and can handle some technical debugging if needed.

Environment

  • Platform (OS): W11
  • Version of Firefox: 133.0.3
  • Version (or revision) of Tree Style Tab: 4.0.25
All extensions to Tree Style Tab: Irrelevant, I have disabled all of the extensions

I would say this is definitely not a known issue.

Do you have anything in your TST CSS?

You could inspect the CSS applied to those larger elements to see what is causing them to be displayed the way they are. https://github.com/piroor/treestyletab/wiki/How-to-inspect-tree-of-tabs

I doubt there is a "corruption" issue.

I do in that screenshot i posted, but I've seen the issue while having the CSS cleared out. The issue happens inconsistently and I currently fix it by just restarting Firefox.

But that said, if its not a known issue I'll try to go further in identifying it with clean profiles and the like.
