Kiln 1.0

Kiln has been in use for quite a while. It should stabilize and not have any more breaking changes.

Before we designate a 1.0 version. We need to clean house and reduce the technical debt.

Let's figure out what is in and out of scope for the 1.0 effort.

Of the current issues, I think these should be resolved before moving 1.0:

• Deprecate the compile-built-releases command and associated code #291
• Migrate to a digest field instead of a of sha1 field in Kilnfile.lock #297

I also would like to

release sources / Kilnfile

• one set of credentials from, environment variables, per release source type instead of for each release source in the Kilnfile
• simplify the release management commands (flags with the same meaning should be the same across commands)
• also find-release and update-release could be integrated better
• remove templating steps for Kilnfile loading

validation improvements

• validate should ensure job configuration string would work with the associated release exposed properties
• validate should try to bake the tile metadata and ensure it is valid
• (optional) validate should compare the metadata with previous git states and based on the version file ensure there are no breaking changes in tile metadata

Part of getting to 1.0 is a degree of confidence in Kiln's stability. One way to ensure kiln is stable is comprehensive high level tests. We need to do that. In addition comprehensive unit tests. Attached is the result of running the unit tests on all releases kiln versions of greater than or equal to 0.60.0.
