Maven setup for Nasa Worldwind 4 Java (WWJ) 1.5.

As WWJ is currently not available in public maven repositories and in
general does not provide a maven-managed project setup, I decided to
create a maven project skeleton to allow wwj to be included into your
local maven repository.
This could also be used as a basis for a migration to Maven (3) by the
official WWJ project.
OLD Instructions
------------
No .jar files are included in this project, meaning that a bit of
manual work is needed to set things up.
## Step 1 ##
Download the WorldWind Java SDK Release (tested with 1.5) at
http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/java/
## Step 2 ##
A set of .jar files is included in the base directory of the ZIP file.
You will need to copy and rename these .jar files into the local library
repository folder structure of this project ("lib-repository"). The
following listing provides the naming and destination directory:
worldwind.jar -> lib-repository/gov/nasa/worldwind/1.5/worldwind-1.5.jar
worldwindx.jar -> lib-repository/gov/nasa/worldwindx/1.5/worldwindx-1.5.jar
gluegen-rt.jar -> lib-repository/net/java/dev/gluegen/gluegen-rt/1.0b05/gluegen-rt-1.0b05.jar
jogl.jar -> lib-repository/net/java/dev/jogl/jogl/1.1.1/jogl-1.1.1.jar
gdal.jar -> lib-repository/org/gdal/gdal/1.7.2/gdal-1.7.2.jar
plugin.jar -> lib-repository/wwj-ext/plugin/1.5/plugin-1.5.jar
vpf-symbols.jar -> lib-repository/wwj-ext/gdal/1.5/vpf-symbols-1.5.jar
## Step 3 ##
Gluegen and JOGL both need native libraries which match the OS and its
architecture (i386, amd64, ...). Unfortunately, the WWJ SDK release
does only provide Windows-amd64 pre-packaged .jar files. The other native
drivers are not labelled at all, but they seem to be i386. Meaning: You
cannot avoid downloading these manually from somewhere else. Here are
some suggestions:
Gluegen has an archive for its 1.0 master branch:
http://jogamp.org/deployment/archive/master/gluegen-old-1.0b6/
Same applies for JOGL 1.1.x:
http://jogamp.org/deployment/archive/master/jogl-old-1.1.1/
Again, you have to apply the maven folder structure and naming, e.g.:
jogl-natives-linux-amd64.jar -> lib-repository/net/java/dev/jogl/jogl/1.1.1/jogl-1.1.1-natives-linux-amd64.jar
and
gluegen-rt-natives-linux-amd64.jar -> lib-repository/net/java/dev/gluegen/gluegen-rt/1.0b05/gluegen-rt-1.0b05-natives-linux-amd64.jar
This works quite well for me on Ubuntu 12.10 and did as well on 11.04
and 12.04.
## Optional Step 3b ##
Currently, this project only considers Windows and Linux amd64 native .jar
libraries. The gluegen-rt-main-<version>.pom and jogl-main-<version>.pom
have commented the rest of the natives out as this would need additional
manual work.
If you are on a different architecture (e.g. android) you will need to uncomment the
section in the lib-repository/net/java/dev/gluegen/gluegen-rt-main/<version>/gluegen-rt-main-<version>.pom
and lib-repository/net/java/dev/jogl/jogl-main/<version>/jogl-main-<version>.pom
and include the natives as described in Step 3.
## Step 4 ##
Final step: compile project.
"mvn clean install" should do the job and installs all artifacts to
your local maven repository, enabling the usage of WWJ in any maven-managed
project. An example is available at https://github.com/matthesrieke/aixm4worldwind.
A dependecy would look like:
