Auto-send PID values when you close the preferences window

Is there a way to automatically send the PID values in the preferences window? Or provide an update button in the preferences view that sends them and closes the view? Backing out of the view and then sending via another advanced option is not intuitive.

I think the issue with this is we didn't want to auto send the PIDS and overwrite previous PIDS. I can change it so it only sends it when the PIDS arent changed from default, but even then if someone uses an tablet with adjusted PID's on a new boat by accident it will clobber those values.
