The macros

\bbx@opt@mergedate@compact
\bbx@opt@mergedate@basic
\bbx@opt@mergedate@minimum
\bbx@opt@mergedate@false

end with the \newunit command.
But this doesn't happen with \bbx@opt@mergedate@maximum.

Is there a mistake in the source code by any chance?
