  1. Improve communication across the agency about how to meet data science needs. Making sure we are both available for folks who need us and utilized. Create a list of accomplishments to communicate the types of work we can do. We should try to better understand user needs of our data products.**

  2. Develop documentation standards and best practices, especially with respect to the new media-wiki.**

  3. Develop processes for code reviews and code check in. When you finish writing code, have a person sign off on it.**

  4. Develop a plan to outreach to other urban planning data engineer/scientists regionally, including WSDOT, SDOT and across other MPOs. Identify interested people. Investigate starting a user group of urban data science practitioners to share new techniques, data sources, and best practices; to share successes and failures, research.

  5. What skills does the team need to build? Continued R, database skills, and Python (everyone); What libraries should people learn? python: pandas, geopandas (and dependencies), numpy, sk-learn, sql-alchemy; R: dbi, odbc, dplyr, data.table (staying up to date). Develop a set of recommended packages.
