Medusa glitches and won't restart after PC standby

I am running Medusa on my laptop. It works well and if I select Restart from the menu it does exactly that. However, if the laptop has gone into sleep mode and been woken up Medusa starts playing up.

It seems to be okay but if I want to add a new show, the search function doen't work. Click, nothing. If I try to restart, it just hangs on the "Shutting Down" line until I manually restart the service. After that it's back to normal.

I have tried completely removing and reinstalling Medusa but still the same. I don't know if this is a bug or just something stupid that I have done. Any advice is welcome. Thanks.
