Version Number

6.6.3

File

Portable (VolumeControl.exe)

Windows Version

Windows 10 Home Version 22H2 (Build 19045.4046)

Actual Behaviour

When starting the Apple Music app Volume Controller shows two processes: AMPLibraryAgent and AppleMusic. The windows audio mixer in settings also shows two processes (both named Apple Music). An actual volume change is only audible upon adjusting one of the two sliders in the windows settings. It seems that the slider it works on in the windows settings corresponds to the process called AMPLibraryAgent in Volume Controller. When adjusting this one in Volume Controller it actually shows having changed the volume slider in the windows settings but no volume change is audible.

Expected Behaviour

No response

Reproduction Steps

  1. Start Volume Controller
  2. Start Apple Music
  3. Change AMP Library or AppleMusic volume sliders

Even though its a different issue, from what I'm reading on this threat:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AppleMusic/comments/14j8847/apple_music_preview_on_windows_and_obs/
it seems like this is tied to the app being downloaded from the microsoft store because apparently microsoft store apps run audio and video on different layers or something.
