Hiring procedure

Preparation for arrival

  • Appoint a supportive peer. A supportive peer shall be of the same staffing level/category, for an example a PhD student should be supported by another PhD student. The responsibility of the supporting peer is to guide the new employee to people with key roles within IFM. For more info, see: Being a supporting peer
  • Inform staff and department
  • Assign a workspace and get it setup:
    • Computer
    • Email
    • Telephone (including reporting the number to central LiU / 'växeln').
    • Name on the door
  • Oversee the first work week.
  • Make sure the paperwork is in order ('förordnande')
