I realize now that the Extension Manager deletes the entire extension folder when updating, so any users updates to the data.json file will be lost!

IMPORTANT For now, everyone should make a backup copy of data.json!

I also discovered that editing data.json can make tests fail, so if tests are failing try using default data.json file.
