Hi all, we are happy to announce that version 2.5.0 is generally available from Maven Central.
Since the first release candidate last month, we have fixed issues with the GWT serialization, and deprecated the Apache HTTP Client, Apache FileUpload and HTML extensions as we are now confident that the Jetty extension in 2.6 will provide a better alternative, both functionally and in term of performance and maintenance.
For additional details about this release, please consult those documents:
Also, we have started work on the 2.6 branch with the objectives to facilitate long term support including of our key dependencies (Java 17, Jakarta EE 9, Jetty 12 and Spring 6.1 and GWT 1.12 in particular), and based on initial progress are hoping for a first release candidate in early January and GA at the end of January as some key dependencies will go out of free OSS support by that time.
