apt-offline install will corrupt gpg keys (Debian Stretch): Unknown error executing apt-key #81

I get these key errors when I try to use apt-offline with Linux Mint 19 64-bit (fresh install). |
This still seems to be an issue. If I run: apt-key exportall > /tmp/keys before update and then: cat /tmp/keys | gpg --no-default-keyring --import --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg after updating, the problem is solved. |
I haven't really had time to look into it. :-( |
I just tested it on the master branch and do not see any issues. But that wouldn't mean there's no bug. Thing is Note: the checkout to branch

How to reproduce the problem:

The current version on debian stretch is 1.7.2 but i tested it as well with 1.8.1 from sid and had the same result. With 1.5.x i get an error that the type of the gpg key is unknown but it won't corrupt the apt keys.
To fix the corrupt apt keys the only workaround i found so far is:
