I wonder if it is necessary to add the current date into the recurring item. I have this item in my recurring list:

daily - A daily recurring ToDo

This will be added to my todo.txt as

2019-02-01 A daily recurring ToDo

However, I like a clean look to my todos. Therefore, I wonder if it is possible to suppress adding the current date like this:

A daily recurring ToDo
