1. New SkyWatcher advanced command set. The new commands support the newer controller cards and allow for larger 32bit numbers so commands like slewing and positions have been replaced. To use the new commands you have to have a newer controller card with the latest firmware that supports the advanced set. In GSS you can use the Info button to see if your card supports the “Advanced” set. Also there is a new setting called “Advanced” that must be checked when connecting to the mount. When you connect to the mount both the checkbox and the controller card are validated. If either one is not set or available the old command set will be used. You cannot switch during a session and must disconnect then reconnect using the new settings.

2. Enhanced the Pole Locator tab to use ASCOM’s Equatorial System options: J2000, Apparent, and Topocentric.

3. Bug fix, now saves the 3D position when exiting GSS so it will start up in the previous position.

4. Enhanced projects and changed target platform from AnyCPU to x86 which allows window’s registration for both x86 and x64.

9. Enhancement, Setting “Meridian Limits” has been changed to “Flip Angle”. Defined as the angle at which any goto slew that ends up after the set degrees would cause the mount to flip. This works on both side of the meridian and is helpful when automating flips using the SideofPier(SoP) option from programs like Nina, SGP, and others that support (SoP) flips. I recommend you use a larger setting than needed for imaging so if you set this to 20 then do any automated flips well before hitting the 20 say at 5 to 10. Programs that don’t support SoP will be better off using a lower setting so that a goto after the meridian pass would cause the flip.

10. New, The “Limit Options” button now supports a Tracking Limit in degrees. This is used together with the new Flip Angle. This is define as the distance passed the Flip Angle setting the mount can travel before an action is taken, like “Turn of Tracking”. i.e. if the flip angle is 10 and tacking limit is set to 5 you would have 15 degrees of mount travel time before the action is taken.

11. Enhancement, Advanced command set support for single axel mounts is not supported which was recommended from SkyWatcher.
