README for Viddle: The Amazing Video Fetcher

Tired of using crappy random websites to download your favourite cat videos off YouTube or Vimeo? Then Viddle is for you.

Viddle is an Electron wrapper around the amazing youtube-dl and ffmpeg tools which make downloading cat videos a breeze.

Key features are:

• Viddle is a desktop app!
• Viddle supports youtube-dl/ffmpeg's video transcoding so you can save as mp4 instead of webm!
• Viddle supports extracting the audio track from a video download and saving in ffmpeg supported formats (e.g. mp3)!

Building

Look in the top-level package.json for scripts. Chances are you want to:
