[BUG] Selection input wonky when inviting people to a collaboration group

Describe the bug
Multiple issues with the select input, see link below (contact me for the password, it contains some personal info)

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to your collaboration group
2. Click the "INVITE" button
3. Type any name
4. You will see 1) a lot of unrelated names 2) your search results near the bottom (but not always exactly at the bottom?) 3) a lot of duplicates
5. Because of the duplicates, selecting one of the duplicates will sometimes not seem to work, but then other duplicates get ticked instead. Also often more than one duplicate gets selected

Expected behavior
Only see relevant users matching my query, without duplicates
