Can you document the license of this package? I'm considering if I should try to get it into Debian, and for that to happen, the license terms need to be clear.

It was only a proof of concept. I'd love to see this concept applied to gnome ecosystem (I talked with some guys of the project 3 years ago).
BTW feel free to fork it and do anything you like with this code :D

Right. Would you be willing to update the code with copyright headers
to clearify the lisence? It would be easier to do a fork if such header

were in place. :)
