Ogres is a virtual tabletop designed to help you quickly setup your online tabletop games. It runs in your browser and stores your data locally - no sign-ups required!

Check out the Beginner's Guide for a brief introduction to the basics.

Features

  • Instantly start preparing your game; no sign-ups or ads
  • Start an online collaborative session for your friends
  • Prepare and manage multiple scenes at once
  • Built-in initiative tracker for streamlined encounters
  • Adjust time of day between day, dusk, and midnight
  • Easy to use for other game systems

Keyboard & Mouse Shortcuts

  • Hold Shift and drag to select multiple tokens.
  • Mousewheel to zoom in and out.
  • Delete or Backspace will remove selected tokens and shapes.
  • Space collapses and opens the right panel.
  • Esc to clear the current selection.
  • S, R, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 change your drawing modes.
  • F enables the mask drawing polygon tool.
  • T to toggle drawn masks on or off.
  • X to remove drawn masks.

Player Window

The player window is a pop-out view that is designed to be shared over video sharing apps like Discord or Zoom. Any updates to the scene on the original window will be synced to the player window. Hidden tokens and parts of the scene that haven't been revealed by light won't be visible on this window.

The DM can pause the player window by clicking the pause button. Any changes you make on your window won't be reflected in the player window until syncing is resumed. This is a good time to setup a surprise attack by vicious goblins! Resume action by clicking play.

Roadmap

  • Realtime sync for tokens and shapes
  • Improved multiplayer user experience
  • More ways to pan camera around
  • Draw move distance when dragging tokens
  • Better grid alignment options
  • Better experience when drawing shapes
