The player window is a pop-out view that is designed to be shared over video sharing apps like Discord or Zoom. Any updates to the scene on the original window will be synced to the player window. Hidden tokens and parts of the scene that haven't been revealed by light won't be visible on this window.
The DM can pause the player window by clicking the pause button. Any changes you make on your window won't be reflected in the player window until syncing is resumed. This is a good time to setup a surprise attack by vicious goblins! Resume action by clicking play.
- Export and import data
- Better multiplayer experience
- Hexagons and other grid options
- Better user interface and experience
- ...and more!
ogres.app was designed as a light-weight alternative to some of the heavier virtual tabletops on the market. It is intended to be quickly setup and torn down. Although your data should live as long as you use the same computer and browser, please consider it to be volatile until I implement support for exporting it to a file.
It is heavily inspired by Owlbear Rodeo which I recommend trying!
Having an issue? Most of the time issues can be resolved by clearing your local browser data. Otherwise please feel free to email me at mail@samcf.me or open a question on the discussions page.
