Reorganize home page content to:

be simpler
meant to identify audience (4 or 5 different types of people)
- each audience type has it's own menu
- each audience-based menu is comprised of existing menu items/pages.
"global" menu item, e.g. "Glossary" are moved to top nav, or somewhere.
get rid of extraneous text
move button for making contributions to top nav, or somewhere

Very rough example, that needs a lot of work, but you get the idea:

afred removed Content: New Content: Change labels
