Use of labels

This is a document explaining the use of labels in the issue tracker and PR tab.

  • binary api: Issues related to any modification of the Zinc binary API.
  • blocked: Issues that are blocked by external projects/people.
  • bug: Bugs in Zinc.
  • community: PRs proposed or contributed by the community.
  • discussion: Issues that are either controversial or whose discussion concerns a design decision.
  • docs: Issues whose contents detail public and non-public documentation of Zinc. Usually helpful for contributors to get to know how Zinc works.
  • easy: Issues that are low-hanging fruit and a good start for new contributors.
  • enhancement: Issues that propose enhancements to the status quo.
  • spree: Issues that are primarily targeted to Scala Center sprees.
  • feature: Issues that propose a new feature.
  • help wanted: Issues for which the Zinc team is actively looking for external contributors.
  • in progress: Issues whose solution is in progress.
  • java support: Issues that concern Zinc's Java support.
  • regression: Discovered regressions in Zinc releases.
  • Scala Center: Issues that have been contributed by the Scala Center.
  • severe: Issues that are severe and that Zinc must address.
  • waiting for review: PRs that are waiting for review.
  • wontfix: Known issues that will not be fixed.
  • workaround: Issues for which a workaround is known.
