What is the goal here ?

The ultimate goal is to create a point cloud of a room. Point clouds are basically points in the 3D space "Duh !". The format we're aiming for is a file typed called .xyz which exactly describes it's content x,y,z comma separated in that order. As far as i know it is compatible with most modern 3D apps. I use Cloud Compare because it's cool and opensource. You can download it here.
