  • CHANGE - LH2 patch ISP for all LH2 engnines to reflect real-world ISP values

  • CHANGE - SC-B-CM RCS thrust down to 1.1, as it will become more balanced as the SM uses fuel; might reduce downwards again for mid-fuel SM balanced
  • ADD - RealPlumes default patch for all engines and Ship-Core engine-bearing parts
    • TODO - BPC's, RBDC, Lander-Core (maybe)
  • ADD - Preliminary testing LH2 Patch; if you want to test this out, install CommunityResourcePack, and remove the .disabled extension from this patch file (SSTU/Patches/LH2.cfg.disabled)
    • Adds 'Hydrolox' as a fuel option for modular fuel tanks
    • Changes HLOX engines over to use it as a fuel source (J-2, RS-25, RL10s, ICPS, HUS)
    • LH2/Oxidizer ratio is the same used by CryoEngines; tanks and engines should be compatible, though these tanks will seem OP by comparison (these use standard mass-fraction rather than zero-boiloff mass fraction)
  • CHANGE - Add lower node fairing to both SC-A and SC-B CMs.
  • NEW PART - SC-B-CMX - As per the SC-B-CM but without heatshield or parachutes; intended for purely orbital operations after launched. Lighter than the re-entry CM, and with larger battery and monopropellant capacity.
  • CHANGE - Remove seasonal parachute color patch. Texture remains in case someone wants to re-use it personally.
  • FIX - Enable emissive animation for SC-A-SM
  • CHANGE - Rename SC-A-CMs for consistent naming with the rest of the parts.
  • CHANGE - Slight update to SC-B-SM texture for interior detailing.

  • CHANGE - Switch HUS over to use RL10B-2 engines
  • UPDATE - Textures for ICPS, HUS, SM, CM, BPC, RCS-T, RCS-V. SC-B-CM texture still WIP but mostly done.
  • CHANGE - Correct heat output for SC-B-SM, SC-B-ICPS, SC-B-HUS for their -current- balance. Will be rebalancing in the near future.
  • CHANGE - Remove fuel cell from SC-B-CM
  • CHANGE - Increase RCS power on SC-B-CM to help balance it vs the SM using stock RCS setup
  • CHANGE - Triple the torque on the SC-B-SM reaction wheel (and EC use)
  • CHANGE - Update the ladder and hatch collider locations and sizes on SC-A-CM to make it easier to enter from the ground and result in fewer flung off kerbals.

The following parts have been deprecated:

Overall shorter codebase with much cleaner flow and control. Effects on existing craft should be minimal; you may need to re-arm/deploy parachutes if they were previously armed.
  • FIX - Reparent the thrust transform on SC-A-SM in order to enable thrust-transform based gimbaling.
  • FIX - Fix up parachute module to properly render drag cubes (had a material/texture conflict with the procedurally-created models, where they would not be rendered as part of the drag cube).
  • CHANGE - Rebalance drag on SC-A-CM for new/fixed parachute mechanics
  • CHANGE - Change SSTUDeployableEngine to be a separate non-engine module that merely controls animation and interacts with a config-specified engine module.
  • CHANGE - Change SC-ENG-RL10A-4 and SC-ENG-RL10B-2 to use new SSTUDeployableEngine setup.
  • CHANGE - Change SC-ENG-RL10A-4 and SC-ENG-RL10B-2 over to using regular ModuleEnginesFX
  • CHANGE - All clusters based on RL10A-4 and RL10B-2 will also be affected by this module change.
  • WARNING - These engine changes may break existing craft due to the change in modules.
  • CHANGE - Add a :FOR[SSTU_ENGINES] block to engine clusters; to allow for multi-pass loading of patches that need to occur to the base engine before the clusters are created

  • CHANGE - SSTUModularParachute over to use radar/raycast altitude for deployment of main parachutes. Drogues are still raw (sea-level) altitude based.
  • CHANGE - Add status text to right-click menu to inform user of the status of the parachute - ready/triggered/unsafe/etc.
  • CHANGE - Add optional staging control to parachutes; disabled by default. To enable, right click on the part with the parachute and select 'Enable Parachute Staging' from the right-click menu.
  • NEW - Add emissive/glow texture for AJ10-137 engine (WIP, will likely tone it down a bit).

  • Update SC-A-SM texture
  • Move Texture-Sets into their own GameData subfolder. Please report any issues of texture-sets not working properly. Should make it easier to update SSTU core without touching the texture set data. You -will- need to redownload and re-install the new texture-set .zip that comes with this release if you want to take advantage of the new layout (the old sets will still work). DO NOT install them both, bad things will happen....
  • SSTUAnimateLight
    • Add 'Lights' action group to SSTUAnimateLight module (SC-A-CM lights, SC-A-SM lights).
    • Add per-light name to SSTUAnimateLight module (e.g. 'Docking Light')
    • Add enable/disable name update to SSTUAnimateLight per state/change
    • Fix SSTUAnimateLight to properly animate the... lights.
    • Fix SC-A-SM light deployment animation (was clipped due to animation-length setting)
    • Add Cabin and Docking lights to SC-A-CMX (Orbital Command Pod)
  • SSTUModularParachute
    • Add Deploy and Cut Chute action groups for SSTUModularParachute module
    • Add capaiblity to the SSTUModularParachute model to specify parachute texture on a per-cap basis (want one red and two orange main-chutes? go for it...). Currently is purely config based
    • Add several alternate parachute-cap textures, including a seasonal one (enabled by default, delete the xmas.cfg file in patches folder to restore default textures)
    • Re-export generic parachute geometry to fix up some geometry errors and change over to the new texture names.
    • Add configurable main and drogue deploy altitudes
    • added heating and dynamic pressure limits for drogue and main parachutes to determine safety
    • parachute will not deploy unless safe to do so
    • parachute can now be triggered in advance (sorry no icon coloring yet to denote status)
    • still WIP, but functionality and usability improved overall

  • update AJ10-137 texture
  • add default settings to the config for SC-A-CM heat-shield module
  • fix heat-shield module functionality; it now works about like you would expect (including only shielding from the bottom/config-specified direction)
  • fix in-editor lag associated with the procedural fairing module; it now only rebuilds when explicitly necessary -- please report any bugs where fairings are reverting/etc
  • NEW PART - SC-A-SM - Everything WIP, but functional
  • NEW MODELS - RCS ports, upgraded replacements to the existing ones. Sorry, no part-configs yet, those will be done soon.
  • NEW MODEL - SC-GEN-HGA - High-Gain Antenna array for SC-A-SM; Will be available as a stand-alone part in the near future.
