This web application is used to store neural research project data which comprises of patient records including their MRI scan reports.
Flask webframework is used for building the app and SQLAlchemy to interact with relational database MySQL which is hosted on AWS RDS.
Flask is chosen to keep the application simple. MySQL relational database is chosen for its wide community support and open source availability.
