Getting Started

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (version 14.x or later)
  • npm or yarn

Steps to Run the Project Locally

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/shawaiz-khan/weather-app.git
    cd weather-app
  2. Install dependencies:

    npm install
    # or
    yarn install
  3. Get your API Key:

  4. Create a .env file in the root directory:

    REACT_APP_WEATHER_API_KEY=your_api_key_here
  5. Start the development server:

    npm start
    # or
    yarn start
  6. Open the app in your browser:

    • Visit http://localhost:3000 to see the app in action.
