autocorrect text not working #750

Steps to reproduce:

install the package
add package to your component
run your app in the browser
write words such as (would've or couldn't or could've ) without the apostrophe and try correcting it when it underlines red with the autocorrect

Expected behaviour:
it should just set the new text corrected by autocorrct

Observed behaviour:
the text doesn't change as expected and again the text with red underline stays

Workaround:
