This version has transducers for Python 3.x, Azure OpenAi Chat, Vertex AI Chat, No Language Left Behind (NLLB) language model, and the dotnet RegEx object to the core EncConverters package, and updated the BackTranslation Dialog in Paratext & Word to support 4 translators and reordering and full chapter converting for NLLB converter and/or if you have your own credentials for any of the Translators. Also, there's a new Paratext Project EncConverter (only works in the BackTranslation Helper Dialog in Paratext) that feeds data from another project (e.g. a Serval-produced draft) to the dialog as a resource.

Includes support for the new Bing and DeepL Translators and the Paratext Back Translation Helper Plug-in. See Paratext Back Translation Helper plug-in tutorial.

Warning: Do not use the Bing or DeepL translator as the ‘Transliterator’ in a Paratext ‘Transliteration (using Encoding Converter)’ project. Instead, use the Back Translation Helper plug-in which works on a verse by verse basis.

SIL Converters now supports 64 bit versions of Microsoft Office. There are two different installers, depending on which type Microsoft Office (32 or 64 bit) you have. Note that the difference is between different types of Microsoft Office, not between different types of Windows (as most people now have a 64 bit version of Windows). You can determine if you have 32 or 64 bit Microsoft Office by following the instructions in the first question of the FAQ. For some Office installations you can see what type you have by running Word, then selecting the File menu, Account, About Word and the type (32 or 64 bit) is shown at the end of the line that mentions the version.

Other changes include:

  • Support newer versions of Microsoft Office (including 2019 and 365)
  • TECkit mapping editor can now show characters outside of the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP), that is, Unicode characters above U+FFFF.
  • Updated TECkit maps.
  • Updated TECkit to support Unicode 13.
