Summary
A completely open, git-driven database of nonprofit information.
Purpose
Having free, open philanthropic data promotes experimentation and innovation from developers and designers of all sizes.
Background
We firmly believe nonprofit and charitable data shouldn't be stuck behind paywalls. As developers, we grew tired of running into roadblocks finding machine-readable data that was NOT kept hostage by a paywall.
If you'd like to add your data or feed to this project, pull requests are most welcome.
- JSON format is preferred
- Use your existing schema
- Add your source to the README
We want to make it as easy as possible to share your data with the open source community, so feel free to share your data in its existing form and using your existing schema.
