Unclutter is a modern reader mode and article library for your browser.
There many other "reader modes", but they all extract article text and re-render it their own format. Unclutter "unclutters" the original web pages itself, leaving the original website styling and interactive elements intact.
Other features include:
- Automatically activating the reader mode on certain domains
- A page outline to navigate long articles
- Integrated social comments from Hacker News and Hypothes.is
- Easily saving highlights by simply selecting text
Try it out for yourself:
All the things above are just a start — the goal of this project is to improve reading on the web for everyone. What if Unclutter could automatically bypass paywalls, connect similar articles across the web, or make quotes easily sharable?
If you'd love to have a specific feature, found an annoying bug, or just want to write down some ideas, suggest them on the open feedback board. Or vote on existing suggestions to prioritize the most important changes:

This project uses GNU AGPLv3, which requires commercial projects that use it to be open-source as well. Unclutter exists thanks to everyone who contributes ideas or code, reports bugs, or simply uses the extension.
