WebDAV Access in OS X

danielsmith-eu edited this page Aug 16, 2012 · 4 revisions

A simple way to access your WebBox files is using the built-in Finder in OS X.

**Please note that Finder always downloads all files when you open directories, so if you have large files, it may take some time to explore. This is discussed in more detail, and a workaround given here: http://code.google.com/p/sabredav/wiki/Finder **

We now have a properly signed SSL certificate, so the previous steps of manually trusting it are not required.

Step 1. Click on the Finder, go to the "Go" menu and click "Connect to Server":

Step 2. A box will appear, you need to type in your webbox address, e.g. if your webbox was called ds then type in https://webbox.ecs.soton.ac.uk/ds/webbox/:

Step 3. An authentication dialog will appear. Enter your username and password (if you have one), and a new directory showing your WebBox files will appear:
