Become a sponsor to Keith Bloemer
My name is Keith Bloemer, a software engineer and guitar player from Alabama whose search for great guitar tone led me to create GuitarML. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a community of developers and musicians contributing time and brainpower to make great audio software tools, specifically plugins for electric guitar.
A guitar plugin is a piece of software that can be used with a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) like in professional or home recording studios. The guitar signal goes through an audio interface and into a computer, where the digital signal is then processed through the guitar plugin for adding any kind of amp simulation or effects. The effect can be applied to pre recorded audio, or played live through headphones or speakers.
While there are many guitar plugins out there, GuitarML's plugins are unique in that they use advanced artificial intelligence to model the dynamic response of real amps and pedals. Using Neural Networks, our plugins are able to sound and feel like a real tube amplifier. Until recently, this technology was only available in high end profilers costing over a thousand dollars. GuitarML believes that the best way to advance this technology is by releasing it as free and open source software for anyone to use and learn from. Because our software is free, your sponsorship is extremely valuable in making sure this work continues to grow and improve. Sponsorship funds will go directly back into GuitarML, specifically for the following areas:
- GuitarML.com website hosting fees, including future growth for adding amp/pedal models from the community
- Acquiring guitar amps/pedals for creating high end models for the community to jam with
- Improved recording equipment for capturing guitar amps/pedals for machine learning (creating models)
- Costs for hiring freelance subject matter experts for improving certain areas of GuitarML products (User interface design, audio plugin improvements and features, distribution)
- Developing the NeuralPi hardware into a fully realized guitar pedal.
Thank you in advance and keep on rocking!
