About us

RA Consulting GmbH (RAC) brings extensive experience in the core areas of software technology, telematics, automotive and embedded systems to the open-source projects. RAC has extensive knowledge and experience in the development of software products for the diagnosis, calibration and validation of electronic control units and also in the development of diagnostic software for ECUs, data loggers and telematics units in the electronics development process of OEMs and TIER1s. Various research activities have resulted in new products and product enhancements in recent years, which have been accompanied by numerous publications. RAC has been a member of ASAM e.V. for many years and is actively involved in the specification of numerous standards in various domains (OpenX for simulation and MCD for automotive electronics). The resulting extensive knowledge and application experience of numerous standards is be incorporated into the open-source project. RAC is also involved in the funded research projects ASIMOV, KIsSME (both completed), RepliCar, RDV and TyRoN (ongoing).

OpenSource

Currently our main OpenSource contribution is the OpenScenario API, which is used to parse and check ASAM OpenSCENARIO XML files.

Funding

Regular sponsoring allows us to do maintainance work like bugfixes and small improvements of the OSC API. Additionally, from time to time we need support to update the OSC API whenever new standards are released by the ASAM, since the associated workload is large and it is not possible for us to achieve this without support of our users.
