Chicago

I recently got my first GitHub sponsor and thought it was worth updating this intro.

My name is Daniel. I'm 29 years old as of writing this and have been programming computers since I was 16 years old. I build interesting tech and have shared a number of hardware projects to explore ideas I have that could be useful to the world. I go out of my way not only to write code, make schematics, and fabricate enclosures but share it with people so that it gets seen and inspires others. Open source is challenging but can be great if done well. I personally have a preference for the Apache 2.0 license because it allows businesses to feel safe contributing to open source and provides them with option to do so without too much risk. This is a personal opinion of mine and I believe by having more businesses feeling comfortable with contributing to open source it could lead to a healthier overall ecosystem for open source.

Lately, my focus is in computer vision and I enjoy tinkering on hardware as well.

Why don't you go ahead and sponsor me?

@legut2

Cover my membership cost to my local maker space. Much of anything hardware related that I've open sourced was due to having access to tools and equipment I was able to use at my local maker-space. Currently I have a membership to https://fox.build/.
