lume-cube

Hello! 👋

LUME is a project with the goal of lowering the barrier of entry for creating interactive multi-user computing experiences.

At its core, LUME aims to be a set of tools that are each individually usable on their own, while as a whole contribute to an easy way of building 2D or 3D connected computing experiences for all device form factors.

Projects

Some of the pieces that LUME is composed of are:

  • lume - HTML elements for interactive 2D or 3D applications
  • glas - WebGL graphics engine written in AssemblyScript
  • @lume/element - System for defining HTML elements (f.e. <lume-cube> or <lume-sphere>)
  • @lume/variable - Reactivity system
  • element-behaviors - Mix multiple functionalities onto HTML elements (like an entity-components system)

LUME's README has more details.

How sponsorship helps

Sponsoring LUME will help LUME to take off and to provide a new generation of tools for interactive development that are easier for new creatives to get started with than ever before, while still being powerful for expert developers.

Sponsoring LUME will also indirectly help to maintain a few projects that LUME depends on, such as Tween.js (used for LUME animations) and Docsify (used for LUME's documentation).

Sponsorship funds will be used for living expenses, travel expenses related to conferences or meetups where LUME will be showcased, educational material including documentation and videos, and personal support depending on sponsorship tier, and anything else relating to the development of LUME and its dependencies (LUME contributes back to open source by contributing to its dependencies).

@lume

Reaching this goal will help LUME to have at least one developer working on features full-time, or several developers working on features part time, depending on how contributor interest pans out.
