Hiya! I'm Chris. I'm a software developer by trade, but firmware and hardware enthusiast by passion. I tinker with whatever amuses me at the moment, which currently is my custom hardware Odiin and the Aura Bauble! I bounce around through all sorts of various interests, from cloud-driven tools, all the way down to code running on bare silicon. From topics like NFC, Cryptography, and "Internet of Things", to video games and blinking RGB LEDs, there's a good chance I probably enjoy it.

What I've Done

  • Professionally — I worked for what was then Big Huge Games on the title that would become Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, as well as another title that never managed to see the light of day. Since then, I've been working with a small R&D team on a haptics focused suite of projects that spread over the entertainment, medical, military, simulation, and aerospace fields. We've combined our vibrotactile knowhow with several other technologies such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, game engines, and sensor suites to drive the field of haptics forward in the best ways possible.
  • Personally — In addition to the things below, I've had my fingers in tons of different projects and technologies. I've briefly elaborated on some of them on my personal website, but it's by no means an exhaustive list. (In fact, it's very likely quite outdated!)

What I'm Working On

  • cmdwtf.Treemap —A Windows Forms control that can visualize flat or hierarchical data as a treemap, designed to be a pseudo drop-in replacement for System.Windows.Forms.TreeView.
  • cmdwtf.NumberStones — A .NET library that parses Dice expressions (Such as 2d20 or 4d6kh3,) and generates dice rolls! Written for use in a Discord Bot, MathRox.
  • cmdwtf.Toolkit — A small collection of .NET utility functions, and tools, and controls created over the years, bundled up in a single package for easy inclusion and management.
  • KeePassDiceware — A KeePass plugin that provides 'Diceware' style passphrases.
  • My NFC Emulation Tool: Odiin — It started off as a proof of concept for my wife and I to not need to pull our Amiibos out every time we wanted to use them as we play Animal Crossing, but I hope for it to evolve into a multi-functional toolkit for all sorts of NFC emulation tasks.
  • I'm also working at adding NFC Tag support to CircuitPython for the nRF52 line of devices. (Shelved this for the time being, as I got distracted...)
