About the Palisadoes Foundation

Palisadoes was created by a group of Jamaican IT professionals wanting to promote software development on the island. Since 2015 we have run the annual Calico Challenge software engineering summer internship program open to Jamaican students on the island.

Our Annual Calico Challenge

Calico pairs students with a tech professional mentor to work on open source projects. Stipends are paid upon achieving predefined milestones. Sponsors include many well known Jamaican companies through their philanthropic programs.
