Hello! I’m terrible at writing introduction texts, so here goes nothing!

About Me

I’m a software developer and metalhead from the Netherlands. I enjoy working on open source. It allows people to work together, to contribute to the community, and to show appreciation for each other’s work.

I started using Linux in 2008. I first started programming Java at university, but it’s the Python I learnt in my free time that really got me interested into programming. I got my first job as a Python web developer, but as a JavaScript became more relevant I started using JavaScript more. Nowadays I mainly write JavaScript.

What do I work on?

I love working on developer tooling. I can’t think of a better motivation to work on stuff than to work on things that enhance your own workflow. This often involves working with ASTs. For example I’ve worked on various unified plugins, some ESLint rules, and a Babel plugin. Lately I got interested in the language server protocol.

I am for hire for freelance jobs, preferably open source projects. Currently Motif is hiring me to work on things they need, partially internally, but also partially to work on open source projects.
