Become a sponsor to SymPy

SymPy is a Python library for symbolic mathematics. It aims to become a full-featured computer algebra system (CAS) while keeping the code as simple as possible in order to be comprehensible and easily extensible. SymPy is written entirely in Python. SymPy will always be 100% open source software, free for all to use, and released under the liberal terms of the modified BSD license.

Thank you for supporting our project! Your sponsorship helps to ensure that our work continues toward our open source mission.

Funds are collected and disbursed via NumFOCUS, a 501(c)(3) public charity in the United States, which acts as the fiscal sponsor for the project. 100% of the money donated through GitHub sponsors goes to the SymPy project.

Donating to SymPy is not in any way required to use it or to participate in our community. SymPy will always remain free and open source. Sponsoring SymPy does not grant you any special privileges or rewards. However, we are able to use donated money to support SymPy. Here are some of the ways we have used donated funds:

  • Paying developers to do development or maintenance work on SymPy
  • Paying for developers to attend conferences where they can present about SymPy or meetup with other SymPy developers
  • Paying the costs for SymPy Live and SymPy Gamma

If you prefer to make a one-time donation use the "donate now" link at https://www.sympy.org/en/donate.html
