How exactly does the cloze deletion feature work?

I am trying to use this feature and currently the first highlighted word will show up in the flashcard with cloze deletion but the following highlighted words are not entered do not register. I saw a similar discussion but the solution does not seem to fix it.

For example:

text input:
Database is an organized ==collection== of related data that is easily ==accessed==, ==managed== and ==updated==.

flashcard output:
Q:

A:

Nevermind, I understand. So a sibling card is generated for each cloze deletion word and is reviewable. It seems kind of counterintuitive that the other clozed words are shown but I will use the bury sibling card till next day feature to make the review more useful. Will leave this here for others who may have been confused.
