macOS binary
The macOS binary is a universal binary compiled for both Intel and ARM64 (Apple Silicon). The minimum macOS version is 10.4.
Instructions:

Download
stvef-protocol.app.zip. Unzip and move to/Applications/.
Attempt to run the app and you will get a warning that the "developer cannot be verified". This happens because I have not paid money to Apple to get the application signed and notarized (I will not pay their extortion fee).

(These screenshots are from VLC-protocol, a related program. The exact same steps apply to stvef-protocol.)
The first time you try to run
stvef-protocol.app, you will get the following warning:
Click Cancel. Then open the System Preferences app and navigate to Security & Privacy.
Click Open Anyway.
Click Open. It should now be possible to open the application without this warning going forward.
