Named because the number of ingredients makes their contribution to the flavor tiny, so the overall enjoyment is approaching the normal (gaussian) distribution. A bartender told me a better name would be the infintity cocktail, and they were probably right.
Shake aggressively in ice and serve over an apsinthe coated glass* with crushed ice with a lime wedge.
